This is my top 5 stand-up comedy shows to see in Zurich in 2026, in no particular order.
Ben, Pouya and Łukasz
The showcases are my babies. I love them because they prove that great comedy can come from anywhere, even here. Ben puts true effort into crafting his art, and it shows. Behind his French accent are beautifully written, hilarious jokes. I love watching him and have done so since I started. Pouya is a phenom. He has barely been doing comedy for over one year and has been killing it consistently. I love him because he makes all the more experienced comics nervous. Invest now while you can. Łukasz is one of my favourite comics because he is like none other. He’s special-funny: He will leave you wondering whether that is all an act or whether he was born that way, and let me tell you, he is my flatmate and I still haven’t figured it out myself.
Tom H and Micky Overman
Before I watched Tom, I was very sceptical about him. He’s from a powerful, rich UK family, and I’m a poor dude from Brazil. In my mind, he and I were a Venn diagram that looked like Woody Allen glasses. Then I saw his show and freaking loved the guy. His vulnerability, honesty, and tremendous likeability won me over in the first five minutes. He’s a gem. To make the show even more irresistible, Micky Overman makes me feel like it’s OK to be a millennial, and that is worth gold. Go watch them, they’re very cool people.
Robert White
Robert’s show is a health risk. He makes me laugh faster than I can inhale air, which sooner or later will kill me… well, at least I’ll die happy. I had a gripe against musical comedians because I hadn’t seen a good one before seeing Robert. He’s the fastest keyboard west of Zurich. It’s a treat to have him back and you deserve to see him.
Maisie Adam, Andrew Maxwell, Jacob Hawley
I F*CKING LOVE Maisie Adam! She’s my top 3 most charming, charismatic, and funny comedians I’ve seen performing live. There was something about the night she performed at the Volkshaus last time and proceeded to dissect Swiss Christmas culture in an improvised 20-minute rant in a way that our local comedians would have taken decades to do. It blew my mind. I am a big fan. I’m not working the door that night because I want to guarantee my first-row seat. Honestly, I haven’t seen Andrew or Jacob, but I wish them good luck, Maisie will be there.
Richard Cunha
Okay, it is very weird to put my own show on my top 5 list, but how else would I thank you all for selling out the first two runs of it. I haven’t experienced anything like that in my life, it was my first show, my first standing ovation, and the first time I cried on stage. There was so much love, kindness and laughter in a single room that I still hear the echoes of your laugh. Lucky for me, we have put out more shows in Zurich and Basel and many more are to come. If you need an immigrant friend, I’m here for you. I’m truly thankful to you and I love you all. See you there.
